Biography
Susan Ice, MD, is Vice President and Chief Medical Officer of The Renfrew Center. She received her doctorate of medicine from Johns Hopkins University, completed her internal medicine residency at Tufts New England Medical Center in Boston and her psychiatry residency at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston. She is the Founder and former Director of the Belmont Center Eating Disorders Program, is on the Advisory Council for Cigna National Healthcare and is a board member of both AABA and Beacon Health Options Signature. A Distinguished Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric Society and a “Top Doctor” in Philadelphia Magazine for several years, Dr. Ice has appeared on the TODAY show and 20/20. She has been published in The Renfrew Center Foundation’s professional journal, Perspectives, and The Johns Hopkins Medical Journal. Dr. Ice has presented at numerous local and national conferences on topics related to the treatment of eating disorders and the complex patient.
